Grammar Wonderland is a pair of iPad apps from McGraw Hill. The apps are designed to help children learn to recognize nouns, proper nouns, verbs, verb agreement, adjectives, and other parts of speech. Two versions of the app are available.
Grammar Wonderland Primary is designed for K-2 students. To play the games students move their iPads to move a crab through an underwater environment to reach the nouns, verbs, and adjectives that they’re prompted to find. Students can control how quickly they move through the obstacles to find the correct word.
Grammar Wonderland Elementary is designed for students in grades three through five. The concept of the game is the same as in the primary version, but new parts of speech are added. Grammar Wonderland Elementary has students flying a plane to find words instead of moving a crab through and underwater world.
Both apps can be used my multiple students. The apps are currently free although I don’t know how long they will remain free. The regular price is $2.99.
